ConnectedHealth, Peak1 Administration, and UnitedHealthcare® to Offer Employers and Brokers New Turnkey Benefits Program

ConnectedHealth, the provider of an industry-leading benefits marketplace and personalized shopping platform, today announced that it is teaming up with Peak1 Administration, an employee benefits and ancillary insurance products Third Party Administrator, and UnitedHealthcare, an operating division of UnitedHealth Group®, to offer a new benefits program for employers in the State of Washington. The new turn-key program will be made available on the ConnectedHealth’s award-winning Smart Choices™ Marketplace in February.

As part of this new alliance, it will now be easier for brokers in Washington State to offer their clients with more than 50 employees an opportunity to reduce administrative time while providing cost-effective benefits to their workforce. Specifically, through the Smart Choices™ Marketplace, employees will have access to a competitively priced package of medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans from leading carriers in the industry, along with Peak1 Consumer Directed Health plans. The Smart Choices™ Marketplace provides the ability for employees to enroll in benefits with a defined amount of money from their employer and gives employers the ability to better manage their healthcare spending.

“We are excited to bring our brokers and others these new solution options,” said Joe Donlan, President at ConnectedHealth. “As the healthcare market continues to change at a rapid pace, brokers need accessible, ‘on-the-shelf’ benefit products for quick deployment to their employer clients. Our new collaboration with Peak1 Administration and UnitedHealthcare helps solve for this need in new and innovative ways.”

“On behalf of the dedicated employees at Peak1 Administration we are pleased to be working with two industry leaders, UnitedHealthcare and ConnectedHealth,” said Dan Crawford, CEO of Peak1 Administration. “This new alliance will allow Peak1 to expand its product offerings into the exploding marketplace of online benefits shopping and provide a dynamic consumer experience for brokers and their clients in the Pacific Northwest.”

As part of this collaboration, there will be a series of work sessions and webinars for brokers and employers in the Spokane, Seattle and Tri-cities area to showcase the platform and the simple administration and shopping process of the Smart Choices Marketplace. ConnectedHealth’s platform has set a new standard for helping consumers make better choices about their health-related dollars and right-size their overall benefits portfolio, based on their risk tolerance and likely healthcare use.
